Sunshine Coast's Trusted Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) Clinic

Supporting your path to natural healing on the Sunshine Coast

Established 2005

Founded by Sarah Jacobs & Urszula Dragowska, Lotus House began as a small community clinic with a big vision.  Inspired by the profound benefits of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Sarah and Urszula sought to create a space where patients could experience comprehensive, compassionate care.

Our Clinic Story

From Humble Beginnings....

Sarah and Urszula first met in 2001 while studying Traditional Chinese Medicine at the International College of TCM in Vancouver. Their core teacher, Dr. Liu Fang, paired them as study partners in their first year, sparking a friendship that quickly grew into a strong professional bond.

In 2005, Sarah moved to the Sunshine Coast and opened her first clinic.in her greenhouse in Roberts Creek!  As her practise grew, she joined Dr. Linda Ward and invited Urszula to come and join professionally together to expand the clinic’s offerings. Bonded by friendship, a shared passion for acupuncture and TCM, and a love for coastal life, Sarah and Urszula founded Lotus House Acupuncture & TCM Clinic in 2006.

...To Holistic Excellence

Sarah and Urszula have built a thriving practice with a shared vision of providing exceptional patient care while supporting each other in their dreams of raising their families on the Sunshine Coast.

Lotus House Acupuncture and TCM Clinic offers individualized acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine health treatments, an on-site Chinese herbal pharmacy with premium grade granule and patent formulations, and a clinic store selling high quality supplements, teas and topical medicines.  Our main office is centrally located in Sechelt, BC with satellite office locations in Roberts Creek and Gibsons.

Our clinic is fully accessible to individuals using wheelchairs, and we are committed to creating an inclusive, welcoming environment for everyone.

Philosophy and Approach

A Classical Approach to Healing

At Lotus House, we embrace a traditional approach to health, grounded in the observation of nature and an understanding of the body’s natural rhythms. Guided by the classical principles, we view the human body as a reflection of the natural world—an interconnected system constantly seeking balance and harmony.

Acupuncture is a medicine of flow—supporting circulation and the body’s vital energy to promote overall well-being. Through gentle techniques such as acupuncture, moxibustion, cupping, and gua sha, we aim to restore healthy circulation and assist the body in its natural self-regulating abilities.

While rooted in Traditional Chinese Medicine, our practice collaborates with complementary health professionals and Western medical care to support a holistic, integrative approach to support your health.

Frequently Asked Questions

Learn more about TCM & Our Clinic

Curious about what makes Lotus House unique? Here are answers to some common questions:

Most clients experience minimal discomfort during acupuncture. Our registered acupuncturists tailor each session to ensure you feel comfortable and at ease.

Acupuncture helps restore the balance of energy (Qi) within the body by stimulating specific points on energy lines known as meridians in the body. This promotes natural healing, reduces pain, and improves overall wellness.

During your initial session, you will receive a thorough health assessment followed by a personalized treatment plan. Our practitioners will explain the process, answer your questions, and ensure you feel comfortable throughout the session at our clinic.

The number of sessions varies based on individual needs and conditions. Some clients experience relief after a few treatments, while others may benefit from ongoing sessions for chronic conditions or optimal health maintenance.

Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) approaches stress and anxiety while treating the pattern by addressing imbalances in the body’s energy. Techniques such as acupuncture, herbal medicine, and dietary guidance work together to restore harmony and promote relaxation.
